[QUOTE=jlrvkohl;603519][QUOTE=iconoclast;602868] noisy from the sc whine or because the motor is working harder to pull the weight of the LR4?

noisy from the sc itself, not the whine but the isoltator spring in the nose cone can make a clunking sound after awhile

I disagree. I'm currently looking for a 2012/2013 LR4 (30k-55k) and they are all over the place.

I was lucky. When I purchased mine the Buick dealer did not know what the had. Bought and drove to the insurance company and they right away told me I had the LUX. 2011 5.0L, LR4, 23,000 miles for $39K in 2013. 72,500 miles now and doing well. They are out there, just have took take your time and watch. You might have to go 200-300 miles to pick one up.

I am not sure where you are or looking but in this area Lux with RSE is not common.

Yep, patience and casting a wider net will yield better results. I found a V8 that was recently listed. Going this weekend to look at it.

Last and final attempt. I was able to find an LR4 Landmark with hardly any miles on it. Has everything except Rear Seat Entertainment and Heavy Duty Pkg. My wife is currently in a '12 Range Rover Supercharged Silver Lux (20k miles) and this LR4 has the SCV6... She is sold on the LR4 in terms of looks, practicality and appointments however we both are having reservations about the motor.

Stick with the RRSC or just give in to the SVC6 LR4?

I had to drive 2 hours to find mine, i couldn't find the HD package but i got the '12 LUX with everything else includ RSE. Its the V8 so i do like it better, have driven the V6 and just don't feel like it has the ***** to do what a LR should do. Just my opinion. Keep searching if its what you want they are out there as others have said...

Drive both and see what you think. The power difference on paper is pretty small - and I've certainly not seen a lot of folks in the V6 SC complaining about lack of power. But it will be a personal feel so see how you think they compare
