Good morning and Merry Christmas to all!

Was checking coolant level (still experiencing leakage after dealer replaced the water pump and some hoses & the belts). Can someone tell me what this hose end (circled) goes to/is for, and where the clip (arrowed) is supposed to be clipped onto so it isn't flopping around?

Front differential breather end tube. Thinner part below thicker 90 degree gore tex end should be attached to circled below bracket.
