I always just say something like "hey Steve, it's Alex M. How are you today?" (Steve is doing good, what can he help you with.) "Very good! I'm looking for an [item] shipped to [zip]." (Steve will confirm and begin looking up the part) "and, uh, I'm over on LandRoverForums if that makes any difference" while he's looking it up.
