1/4 Wave Whip Antenna
I'm sure most of you that saw and posted in my previous thread about my CB antenna I mounted will remember I had it up on the roof rack. (As Seen Below)

However like I, and some of you had first thought, it was in a good spot to be broken off. However I honestly don't see how it happened becuase I tried to break it again after I had removed it and it was impossible. I had to get bolt cutters to chop it in half. Thats aside the point though, it broke, so I removed it, now here's what I got.
A 1/4 Wave Whip Antenna mounted onto the rear bumper. Had to re-route the cable a little and modify another I had laying around so that it would be able to connect to the mounting point on the whip antenna as well as have another wire branching off so that it could be grounded as well.
I'm very happy with the new set-up. Very easy to get to either from underneath the back bumper or straight through the light mounted in it. Even though it's mounted on the bumper however it is still taller than the previous antenna that was mounted up on the rack so it does hit things, but has no problem bending completley backwards to prevent it from grabbing a hold. Much better range too.

range foward of you?
