A few years ago I purchased a complete 300tdi 5 speed conversion kit. I've nearly removed the rusted out frame and plan on pulling the donor frame tomorrow. I own 5 d2s, one I've modded to a discovery pickup truck. I have already contacted the local galvanizing shop and once I've completed some mods to the frame I will deliver it. My problem is locating a company that will remap my ecu.
It's been a few days, I have now removed my old fra.e and cut it into 3rds to make it easy to dispose of. pullapart has a frame from a 2000 discovery that cost around $250, which i plan to remove Tuesday. hoping to soda last the 5 speed and 300tdi tomorrow. putting the automatic on eBay for around $350.

 

I purchased an engine management system fro my 2.8 from Overland Pro’s which is in California.
Spoke to one of the owners about his personal build - a older defender with a TD5 in and has had it tuned. I can’t recall the name of the re-mapping but you could reach out to them with the inquiry.

 

I will definitely gove them a call. today is the day I plan on removing the frame from the d2 at pullapart. Around $250 is an amazing deal., I'll keep posting. I hope to film the next frame swap, pulling a frame is so simple.
