Default 2005 LR3 Tire rim question

I just picked up a 2005 LR3. I want to run 285/55(or60)R20's I just can't find any solid info. It looks to be that the 285/55/r20 is the biggest you can run and you'll rub a tiny bit. I'm still a rover noob so feel free to school me.

It makes me sad nobody replied I promise to wheel it and it wont be a mall crawler. It'll be a dune runner!

I run 285/65/18 and they measure out at 32.59 inches

285/55/20 measure out at 32.34

I have installed the 2.5 inch Johnson Rod lift and my tires rub in all four corners (under different circumstances).

My recommendation is to go no larger than 31.5 or so with a lift and no larger than stock without a lift. That is my opinion, what you do is up to you.

Good reference on sizes: LR3 Tire Size Chart

also, search the LR3 forum for tires, there is tons of info there.

If you aren't lifted it will rub. If you really want to run that size call lucky8 (716) 898-8153 they have some really high quality lift rods for the LR3 hitting the market at a great price.

With the 2.5" lift rods, will the 31.5" tires for without rubbing?

Also, will the 31.5 fit in the spare tire location?

You don't want 55s if you're going to run dunes. You need more sidewall for better flotation when aired down. 55s are mall crawler wheels

Moderators, it would be great if you could sticky spidermans LR3 Tire Size Chart to the top of the LR3 forum. Just an idea.
