Default Air compressor conversion

Ive got a 1995 Rover LWB with an Air to coil conversion. Figured i would convert my compressor over so i can fill my tires and Blast an air horn for some fun. Cheap and easy. almost done, Just waiting for some specific parts.

Have plenty of pictures and specific wiring on how to use your existing air suspension buttons and your existing wiring.

I have been thinking about doing something like that with my truck. I have a perfectly good compressor sitting there doing nothing. Seems like a waste.

Thats not a bad idea guys. I can't do that because I have a DI but perhaps you could run air tools on the trail if needed?

Project is going along quite nicely, I have the system up and running to fill my tires. ill give An air tool a try. the highest I've got the pressure up to is 110psi, Not sure how much more I want to push the 17 Year old Compressor. I'm waiting for an Air pressure switch, an air solenoid for the Air horn and the air horn. Ill make a video once I'm done or something. anyone can do this, I'm trying to do this on a low budget, Re using the air ride control switches, existing wiring and even the air hoses.

Good to hear! Can't wait for the write up, I may just have to steal an air compressor out of a Disco2 in a salvage yard, soon...

I finished installing the Air system, including the air horn. The air horn was larger than I anticipated, had to alter the original plan just a bit. Ill get a video up tomorrow. Wolo "the chief", its definitely a BEAST!!! Ill do my best to explain everything I did, I also have written up plans in case anyone wants a write up.

Default Video of install

The length of the video is a little long, but I address ever aspect of the system in the video, The beginning shows you the horn and a little about the car, the videos explain the system. The second half is a slide show of pictures of the different components, and the last 3 minutes of the video are of the horn in action.

Email me or message me any questions you have about the system, I can draw up a schematic easily along with step by step instructions.

This system was a blast to create and a blast to fool around with "pun intended"
