Default Turning off Air Compressor

I am going to install my ARB Coils myself to replace the rear airshocks. I called the dealer and asked how I can turn off the air compressor and they immediately responded with "NO, NO, NO...you have to come in and let us do it for $100". This sounded fishy so I just wanted to check with the group to see if there was any way I can turn off the compressor myself and save a buck.

Thanks,

Default RE: Turning off Air Compressor

A dealer or shop with an Test Book equivalent, will have to reconfigure your SLABS control unit to non SLS. Otherwise the ABS, hill decent, and traction control lights will be on and the systems inop.

$100 is the going rate. A Test Book or a equivalent cost $15,000 US plus $1K a year maintenance. Hence the charge. Sorry.
