Sorry for the delay. yes, im sure the resonator was what i took off. The code im looking at now is a p1138 and my mileage is down around 9 or 10 per gallon. I'm pretty sure its the o2 sensors but if i were only to replace two of them (due to lack of funds) Should i do both upstream sensors or both in the same bank?

Turf, the P1178 code was air mass flow rate correction at maximum positive. The P1138 is problem switching to lean sensor(s) bank 'A' (driver's side). If money is tight, I would replace the driver's upstream first, clear code, drive and see if it comes back. The front sensors directly control fuel mixture, while the rear sensors normally are just catalyst monitors.

Morpheus, thanks. Is it safe to assume the MAF was correcting at max because it couldnt keep up with what it thought was a really lean bank A because the sensor went? That would also explain why ive been going through gas like it's going out of style. I just ordered some o2 sensors off amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/NGK-25044-Oxyg...tive&carId=001 ) My hope is that they'll do the job, if they're not the right fit (they should be) then i'll return them and get them one at a time from atlantic british. Cross your fingers for me.
