Same here....what brand of headers (and/or part numbers) costs, etc???
Been playing with a theory on performance and the reduction of underhood tempertures...maybe using header wrapping?
We experienced modest gians in HP by keeping the temperature differential in the exhaust system and using this to assist in cylinder evacuation of the spent mixture...the OBDII system should compensate for the slightly lean condition created by this process.....thoughts anyone???
Thanks for the info!!!

the headers are from toddco suspensions
www.toddcosuspensions.com
the hi flow cats, muffler, and tips are from Magnaflow.
the exhuast was a custom job done front to back in 2.5" stainless.
the headers are longer then the factory manifolds...so if you go with toddco headers you will need a custom exhuast. My exhuast was rusty and hacked up already from the previous onwer. Also we found the the factory exhuast gets squeezed down to what looks like less then 2"s when going over the rear axle.
I love the sound, Im getting better gas milage ( which i noticed almost imediatly) and it has more power. Kick downs on the highway happen sooner and when it kicks down the engine response is imediate.
the headers were $329 from toddco
the exhuast cost me $800 for the labour, pipe, and Magnaflow parts.
I bealieve hedman makes header that will fit the disco 1's and you can retain your faxctory y-pipe is you so wish.

I woulnt recommend using header wraps because of rust. but if you live in a dry area (unlike me) they are great for reducing heat. That being said just installing headers alone reduces your under hood heat.
I would recommend this to anyone
