Default Best Vendor? - New Engine for 1995 RR Classic County LWB

blew the original motor last year when the water die on the highway. finally getting around to rebuilding from the wheels up. Need to order a new motor and am going with the 4.6. Does anyone have a recommendation on the best shop to get one from? Im told they are 5-6k. Has anyone thought or actually put in a TDi?

Thanks!!

More than a few have swapped in the TDI lately 200tdi kits can be had from $3500-$5000. From what I've read though if your keeping the auto box the 300tdi is a better option. Those cost a bit more though.

The real expense will be in all the little swap over bits and labor if your not doing it yourself.

Most RRC diesels would be the VM Motori version. which I've heard is easier to fit in place of a V8, using the same mounting locations. In 1992 they changed to the 200tdi and then for 1994 or 1995 they changed to the 300tdi.
