Default any beamed or a-arm front ends on rovers yet?

after more and more testing and getting beat up, i am considering ditching my solid axle for a lighter and newer build, tho i might do this on a imported defender or if i stumble on a cheep 1997 or older diesel rover.

keep in mind i am building for speed, racing, in baja mostly and i know now that i have to have a low and wide , and tons of travel..

so this project would be built for modified sportsmen class...

any ideas or pictures would be epic, but i am probably going to copy the exact 4x4 f250 linked race truck style. they seemed to handle well, and i knwo a race truck builer that can help me strip there decommissioned truck for a whole front end @ 73" wide with 20" travel.. well if i give him my $$$.

oh also i am looking for a shell of a defender 4 door with pick up bed....
that can be imported for a fair price??
as soon we can get 1990 and older imported body's???
i thank the second build will be so much better then the first one with all the kinks i ran into "reinventing the wheel"

well have fun an play safe

also all ways looking for wheeling buddy's get at me if you ever south west bound.

What kind of racing are you doing? Lots of straight axle rigs run like bats out of hell in ultra 4 and other rock racing. If your building a desert racer than I have no clue but it seems like you need to ditch the Rover axles and drive train if you wanna go fast offroad
