Default CDL shift lever?

I have a Discovery II built in 6/2000, What is the easiest way to lock the center diff?I have read buying disco I linkage or 04' or making my own. Look at disco I transfer case shifter from Land Rover parts for $150 will this work even though it says it won't on disco II ?

First of all, you have a good production date, you do have the correct t/case.
How says you can't use a D1 linkage in your D2, they are completely wrong, you can use that one from an 04, a solenoid package or make your own.

Good to hear. I find the combination of a CDL handle and the ETC to be very effective off road.

Cheers,

Pete

I have a solenoid operated CDL. Works great and you can use it in 4 high.

Your idea is outstanding the issue is one thing that not enough persons are speaking intelligently about. I am very completely satisfied that.

I don't know if you guys have seen this article, but it explains the use of a D1 shifter with the HI/LO selector so no modification is necessary.

DI CDL - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I.

I have a few kits for sale with all the parts needed. If you check the classifieds you can see a picture of what I am selling.
