Hey everyone, new to this forum so sorry if im in the wrong thread or anything like that. Im in the process of restoring a 1997 land rover disco 1, and it needs a new climate control panel. I went to the junk yard today and found a newer or nicer (can't tell) climate control panel, as well as a new center dash and a few other things. I'm wondering if it is realistically possible to put this into my disco 1. The broken AC panel I currently have The one I picked up today and want to try to wire in
Your newer unit is from a Discovery II (1999-2004). Not sure whether or not it will be a drop in. Try posting in the DII section maybe and see if someone knows.
Your D1 uses a cable system attached to the *****. The D2 uses that electric control panel tied to actuators to move the components and adjust. Completely different system
I wish I could have the mechanical system in my DII. I never use the aircon unless somebody else is riding with me and even then, I never use the auto feature. It's either full hot or off for me. I also hate taking my eyes off of the road to search for buttons.
