The vinyl panel on the rear door was hammered by the cargo. So, I replaced it with a custom diamond plated steel panel. It allows slightly more cargo room but without the odd speaker box poking out. I added a fold down table with cable stays. I think chains would rattle. Project photos are posted here to help give you an idea of the results of the project. I chose black because I thought the chrome diamond plating would be glaring and there's not reason for it. My D2 has a black interior.

 

That's a pretty cool idea. Might have to try this after we get the leak fixed.
