my second attempt at a prerunnerish guard. cuts the hi beams , but I, was going for the low pro. look. . . . so let the critiques roll.

 

Looks nice too bad it blocks headloghts, no off Road light mounts either?

 

I like the look OK. Light tabs are an easy fix if you want lights up-front. Not sure of the angle of the picture, but yea, I would agree the bars in front of the lights may need to come down just a little to not block the lights.

I like it, and I understand that you were going for low profile, but I did find that a higher brushguard protected my radiator in a collision. My brushguard was only good for recycling after the crash, and I did need front-end body work, but my radiator and all parts under hood were good. I still need to replace that brushguard (it was LR OEM), so I am looking for inspiration.

My comment regarding your design is that a higher brushguard does serve a purpose. Good job, though .

 

I put tabs for lights, and prewired inside, it is just a straight on photo. can't see'em.

I had a lower set up but i felt it looked goofey. outside bars were to close to the bumper.

i'm picking up material for 3rd attempt, today. still working on the headlight obstacle.

 

i think this whole process would have been easier, if i had not decided to do a facelift, right in the middle of building a guard

 

looks good, why not insert a piece of 3inch round stock in front of the high beams so they can so thru. didn't they do something like that on the factory light guards
