Talking Dog house air conditioner for camping?

Has anybody seen or looked into these little air conditioners?
I originally started looking for them because I was on a road trip sleeping in the back of my LR3 (you can fit a full sized foam mattress back there BTW)
Its super comfortable, but the heat and humidity become pretty unbearable in some climates.

I saw this product which looked great - https://www.zerobreeze.com/ Its a real compressor AC, but for $1000 way too expensive! It also doesn't do anything with the waste heat and I think it just evaporates the water it condensates.

Then I came across this http://r.ebay.com/1iQlHE for only $350 Its pretty small @8” x 9” x 13" and draws 350 watts. 1400btu should be enough to cool the inside of the vehicle at night, or at least remove some of the humidity. Since it is a real AC unit you would have to either pump in the cold air.

Im thinking you could just stick it on the roof rack and have a duct you can pull through the sunroof at night.

I have kicked around a similar dog house heater/AC unit it was slightly bigger I think 2200 btu but same idea. I think it would be great for a tent or off road camp trailer.
