Heavy duty drag link rod ends vs. heim Joints???

Hey,
Has anyone had any luck with Heim Joints instead of ball joints/rod ends on the front drag link or tie rod?

95 disco 1... with a relocated stabilizer... and bored out knuckles to accept a heim joint bolt.

My friend truck is running with Heim joints. And I think he is doing well. I still don't know the diff. since all I know is Heim joints are better.
