WOW I didn't relize how expensive some of this equipment is!

A winch bumper costs 1,150!

Damn if you what you say about a stock Land Rover is true then I might just leave my Land Rover stock!

hehe, we hope not for long though, right? It's definitely no poor man's 4x4, which is really fun for a 19 year old student like myself.

The 2003 did not come with CDL (center differential lock). For hardcore offroading you are better off getting a year that does have it. Or you will have to swap transfercases later.

X2 this would keep me from getting a 03 and I would get a 04 that has locking transfer case,,
if I was looking at a Disco II.

I want to say 00 and 01 do, but 02 doesn't, but don't quote me on that. I'm happy with my DI, they're so much simpler

Only the 2004 has the locking center Diff (transfer case)
with OEM setup.
The earlyDisco II's1999,2000have thelockingtransfer case
but do not have it setup from Land Rover you would need
to do this yourself DiscoMike has done this to his 99.

Get an earlyDisco, I have a 98 and it's pretty simple to work on and add equipment to, It has enough comfort features too. I'm still waiting to see an f150 that can follow me off-road!!
