iPod Dock

iPod Dock
so i am picking up my 2009 range rover sport tomorrow and i am having trouble finding a direct answer as to installing an ipod dock. i am getting out of a 2009 gti and it has a docking port in the center console that goes into the bottom of my ipod classic (so it still charges it when plugged in).
the sport i am getting has the fridge in the console so the dock can't go there but i would like to run it through the glove box anyway. is there and easy way to set that up without taking the whole radio and dash apart?
i would prefer not having to use an aux cord from the back of the console and ideally would like to be able to control the ipod from the stereo and steering wheel controls.

Haven't been able to find anything along those lines. I have a GROM unit in my other car that works well, but they don't seem to make them for Land Rovers. I just use a Bluetooth to AUX adapter powered by the cigarette lighter. Yeah, there are wires, but it's very easy. Can get them on Amazon for $25 or so.
Being able to use steering wheel controls would require something to be part of the car's communication network, which almost certainly would require taking the radio out.
