Remember, I am at around 5500' elevation. It will cruise easily at 70mph on the flats. Running up the passes from 3500' to 7000' I definitely see slow down - to about 50 mph. On a very very long steady rise to West Yellowstone in a big headwind (headwind was about 30 mph continuous for about 20 minutes) it was struggling to maintain 60 mph - but again this was a long uphill (though not drastic like a mountain pass). On the way back with the tailwind I was running 80 mph. It also has the stock 3.9 with no modifications other than a snorkel.
I'm sucking +/- 20% less oxygen in the atmosphere at this altitude.
On the trip back from Seattle I was running 11 mpg average, but again - up and down mountains and running 70mph when I could.
Day to day driving it has plenty of get up and go. I was considering moving to a 235-85-16 but the tire guy said he didn't think I'd see any gain in mpg or speed so I'll wear these out then consider the smaller tire.
