Default looking for some lift

I've got a completely stock 2004 disco 2 and I'm looking for a bit of a lift and some new tires any suggestions?

If you're serious into off-roading, an OME lift is what you need. It's a little more pricey, though... Ballpark of $700-$800. If you just want to do some occasional off-road stuff, and drive mostly pavement, go with a TerraFirma lift. Either way, a 2" lift is safest without having to switch out any other major components. If you go above that, you'll have to start changing out more expensive parts.

I believe you can go with 32" tires with a 2" lift, but you may have to trim some of your front bumper. Nitto tires have a pretty good selection. Lot of people run Goodyear tires too.

32's no lift, no rub, full flex (no sway bar neither).

Went everywhere he did. just as easily...

Yes.
Emphatically so.

Highway handling suffers slightly. I'm still running my rear as it does see the Tarmac regularly.

would you suggest getting quick dismounts or just taking them off once and leaving them off

I run 80 down I-90 (twisty Google Map Sat view 83837), and I'm fine. I also see more dirt than I do pavement, so in my case, off permanently is fine. If you see trails/rocks etc twice a year, quick disconnect and be happy. If you are more off road than on, the handling (albeit not Porsche like anymore, but i have my Dart for "slalom" activities) isn't compromised enough to hate the rig with it gone.

At 20 psi tire pressure with an overkill winch and brush bar, it WILL nose dive in a non complimentary manner, but at 40, I'm happy enough with it.

Also shot Highway 12 (Google Maps Sat View Kooskia,ID to Missoula, MT) at above posted mph's, with no sway bar.

I definitely see more pavement than dirt but my friend suggested quick disconnects for me to keep them on unless we are off-road

I wish location was sort of mandatory. I was talking to someone in NJ and they said they come here once in awhile. If I would have known NJ, I would have driven to help him. I'm going for about a 2 hour drive in any direction.
