Default ordering new brakes and rotors

I am looking to replace rotors and pads, what is the best ones to get that won't lead tosensor or other related problems later? It has been suggested DBA for rotors.( drilled and slotted?) which pads? (are kevlar the best?) and do I need to replace the calipers also or are the stock sufficient? I have a 2000 discovery II use as weekend driver in the Bay Area and go off-road about 6 times a year but hope to go more!
