Default Safari rack measurements wanted...

I'm designing a bunch of parts in CAD for my own DI and to hopefully share with the community here. One of those things is a safari rack, but I don't know some basic dimensions. Would anyone be willing to measure and post them here?

I'm looking for:

Tube diameter
Wall thickness? I'm guessing .065?

Height (aka thickness of the rack from bottom to top?)

I think I can cover the rest by measuring the roof of my truck.

Thanks!

I can check mine this weekend. Just bought the car, I think its a safety devices rack.

When you say height, do you mean from rain gutter to top of tube?

Here is the rack:

My rack is a RockStar Fabrication rack. Its made with 1.25" and 1.5" 3/16" wall DOM. The flooring is aluminum C channel. It's heavier than most racks but its stout and can be used as a roof slider. Instead of 4 individual feet it has one continuous foot that runs the entire length of the gutter. This provides better weight distribution and rock solid attachment.
I'd recommend looking at different racks like mine, the SD/Voyageur, Baja Rack, Hannibal, etc. Then build the one you want.

Thanks guys, I like both of those racks a lot! What I mean about height from rain gutter to the "bottom" of the rack and from the "bottom" to the "top" of the rack.

I just measured from side of roof at the gutters and the total length of roof.

Mine is home built. I couldn't see paying a 1000 for a roof rack

Thanks guys! I'm having trouble getting my D1 3d model imported, but hopefully my friend can fix it and from there I can start designing all kinds of cool stuff for our trucks!

Just build the rack first and then figure out ur height. Make sure your sun roofs clear that's about all the measuring u will need

What CAD program are you using?
