Default Tire Question for ya

I drive a 2004 disco and am looking at having to replace my tires pretty soon and was wondering what size and all that y'all would recommend if i was going to be off-roading (a good bit, not a ton) and then also just driving in the city to work home school etc.

right now i have 255/55r18's as my tires, and just wanted to hear some thoughts from other people before buying!

Default Good Info

This is a pretty good overview of the more popular tires.

I have a somewhat similar question, can I fit 255/60/16's on my stock rims for the 1997 discovery?

What can I fit on these stock rims without trouble?

As for OP's question, I have heard GREAT things about grapplers. I watched a stock, no lift XJ jeep chug through a 3 foot deep mud pit with no issues. My rover with street tires (bridgestone all seasons) couldn't get out of the mud pit without a pull, so those grapplers do some work.
