You do realize that by posting this on the world wide web, that thousands of people now know where to find your safe? lol

Members of this forum don't know how to use the search function to find what they need what makes you think some random criminal would

You might be surprised at how easily people can navigate this forum using google alone... lol

Just make sure the safe is waterproof and fire proof in case your truck every gets submerged or catches on fire. Ive heard of rovers in both scenarios.

Then again if you own any land it would be better to build a custom safe and bury it deep in the ground in a classified location and maybe plant a large garden or tree over it.

from a total security standpoint you are correct.

but i'm very comfortable with the information I have given out and what I intend to use the safe for. it was a b&^* to get in and i really like it.

Yeah, I'm sure thieves are checking online for every vehicle they come across to see if someone posted a thread on some random forum that they've installed a safe in the vehicle. Assuming they could even identify it.
Actually, I wish they would. They'd be on Google so much they'd never have time to steal anything.

So you have something in the safe that is moved to the wall in your garage inside the safe, and not removed for use or access at home? I am missing the idea here. I like the idea of a safe in my rover, but wouldn't you just leave the contents in the rover rather than pull the safe out and put it in the mount in the garage, or just take the contents out of the safe and into your house with you?

Um. It offers total flexibility. It can be moved, opened, placed in a second safe, etc. For my current needs it's perfect. Later, it may be less necessary but should still come in handy.

I could take you through all the scenarios but that would probably be unwise.

It's not impenetrable however so I wouldn't just leave it in the Rover.

And no one and nothing is totally secure so it just depends on how bad someone wants at you.

I've been looking for a solution exactly like this! Got any pics of the finished mounted unit?
