That's terrible. I was hoping for something simple; this stinks.

Default It was not tranny issue - was axle/sensor related

Update - to give credit to LR - it was not the tranny. The dealer where car was traded in and then sold me the car, they had replaced the left rear axle part of the pre-sale inspection. I had no idea at the time that they replaced an axle. After long discussions and me describing the symptoms and codes, they agreed to look at the car. I think they sensed the problem could be the axle tripping codes, and sure enough that was it - to this day I am not sure if axle was tripping some wheel sensor which was throwing the output shaft/vehicle speed correlatoin codes and putting tranny is come safe more, or axle was truely somehow popped out which will explain the free revving. I an thankful to selling dealer who basically admitted their fault saying "axle was faulty or incorrect part", they replaced the axle along with the rear diff fluid and covered all costs.
Just a lot of frustrations and 5 longs weeks, but in the end my disco is back on the road

Wow! I'm shocked this came to a happy ending. Way to go dealer and good work for diligently pursuing a fix.
