Default 2019 Discovery weird heater problem

When the outside temperature is below 50°D the heater on my 2019 Discovery blows super hot air - no matter what the climate control temp is set to - even at 59°F the lowest temp setting the car gets uncomfortably hot. Turning it lower to “low” turns off the heat completely. So during winter you have to switch between being super hot or cold. Took it to the dealer here in Dallas who claims they couldn’t find anything wrong. This issue just started the past couple of months. Any ideas?

We've had some weirdness with our HVAC not behaving right [though not like yours] and the rear seats got stuck again between up and down. I just reset everything by disconnecting the battery and that helped both. Ours was more related to the vents not wanting to work and the sync function.

Sometimes the thing needs a hard boot [kick in the ***] it seems.

Check out the outside air temperature sensor. Located underneath in the driver side exterior mirror. Same exact issue on my '17, replacing it resolved it.

Default Hot

We were driving through a winter storm in Utah and northern Arizona and noticed similar issues. Windows would fog up when temps were below 30F and defroster would cycle between super hot and then cold air and back to super hot. No in-between. If we took it off of defrost to Auto the windows immediately would fog up to the point once that it was dangerous driving at night. Not what I expected from a Land Rover. This was our first snow trip. And we couldn’t figure it out. Interested to see if you find a solution. Haven’t noticed the issue since that trip. We live in CA and rarely see those temperatures where we live but it was a bad experience. Our LR5 is a 2017.
