Default 21" to 20" Wheel Question

Hi everyone. This forum has been super helpful in researching our Disco purchase. I have a 1991 110 Defender and adding to the LR family with a 2019 HSE Discovery Si6. Buying it from a dealer, not custom order. Here is the build. https://build.landrover/B7F7D982.

The car is coming with the 21" 5025 satin dark grey wheels. We like the looks of them but am bummed that there are no good AT tires that fit 21" wheel. So questions are:

- Is there any issue putting a 20" wheel on this? Will everything match up with brakes, etc?
- Ideally we will put on a Land Rover 20" wheel. Any recommendations on source to find them? Should they be from a 2017-2019 Discovery or does it not matter in order to match the 5x120 bolt pattern, etc?
- We want to put on 275/55/20 AT tires. We do some off-roading up in the mountains and also like the looks of the beefier tires. I have read forums on this topic and it sounds like many people have done this with no issues. Open to suggestions on tires. Want something that looks agressive, will perform well off road and has as little road noise as possible

The 20's are the hot ticket item right now. They turn up on here, Craigslist, and facebook. There are a few tire options that look good on the 20's

I picked up a like new set of RR wheels (from '16 RR) for about $300. They matched offset, bolt pattern, etc with the 20" option for the D5 20" wheel. Put snow tires on and no issues whatsoever.

Some older LR wheels may have clearing issues with the calipers due to the D5 using bigger calipers than Discos in the past.

I picked up 20” RRS wheels as well, got them for $900 on Craigslist with TPMS. That was a lot cheaper than buying new and I liked the style of them as well. I leased my D5, so keeping stock wheels clean and scratch free. Fitted the 20” with 275/55/20 BFG KO2. A few others have done the same, great way to solve for 21” and save some money.

That looks bad *** and is exactly what i'm going for.

I do want black wheels. Any issue with buying a set of chrome Land Rover wheels that fit and having them powder coated by a high quality shop?

Not that I know off, I wanted and searched for black RRS wheels. They were easy to find and saved an extra step/cost. Had to buy the black wheel nuts from LR which was around $300 too, as I wanted the complete black look. I know @MikeinNY plasti-dipped his and they looked awesome. I can't remember the name of the thread he started but maybe Mike will chime in and load up a photo or too.

Hi All. Finally getting back to this project. I am trying to make sure i don't buy a set of rims that don't work with my 2019 HSE that came with 21" stock wheels. As far as i can tell i need 8.5" wide, 58 offset, 5x120 bolt pattern and 72.5 Hub bore. Is this accurate? I found a set on ebay but they are showing ET47?

Thank you for the help!

The 9.5x20 et 45 or 47 RRS wheels work fine with a 275 55/20. No rubbing in any ride height

Here are the wheels i'm going to buy and put some BF KO2 tires on. These are 8.5" wide. You mentioned 9.5"
