Default 32k miles service

Does anybody know what needs to be done on a TD6 for 32k miles The cost to perform the 2nd year / 52,000km scheduled maintenance is approx. $1,440.00 + tax. It includes a full synthetic engine oil and filter change, engine flush w/ BG oil additive, replacement of fuel filter, replacement of cabin/pollen filter, replacement of both engine air filters, DEF top up, complete mechanical inspection, check/adjust all other fluid levels & tire pressures, lubricate all door hinges/latches. can somebody simplify so I can do it myself

You just stated what it included. Why not do the items you feel comfortable with and just pay for what you want done?

I just had the 32 miles oil change. They did and inspection. $155 at the Rover dealership I can grease the hinges, The engine filters are easy as is the cabin filter. The engine flush? I am not sure what that is.

Sounds like lots of upsell / oversell in there. There's really not much to a service - oil and a few filters. Ask them to itemize what they are offering...

BG products are reportedly very good. I doubt there's a need for an engine flush, nor any need for an oil additive if you use quality oil of the required spec.
I assume you have performed at least a few oil changes already.
There's no way you should go 15K miles on an oil change no matter what the computer or the manufacturer tells you.
Change it at 7.5 K miles and you should have a happy engine.

There is a BG program that provides engine warranty coverage if you use a certain combination of their products and have them installed by a certified BG dealer.
You'd have to read up on the program on the BG website if you are interested.

Don't think I've ever been offered or paid for an engine flush. Not on the Land Rover nor the Jag. Sounds like your dealer is offering some 'high margin' products...

Try a different retailer. I don't think they should be advocating engine oil flushes without cause and you might do better on pricing.

I have no technical information about BG products so take what I am going to say with a grain of salt. But, many years ago, a Toyota dealership was trying to upsell me some BG products, including an engine flush and included in some of the BG literature that the dealer gave me was some promotional material from BG prepared for the dealer's eyes only. I don't remember exactly what it said but my recollection left me with the distinct impression that the BG materials were more Snake oil than anything.
