I’ve got a guy telling people (and me) on another message board that he paid $6k as an upgrade to a dealer for them to order a new discovery with the 5.0L V8.

this isn’t possible is it? Of course I don’t believe him and I’m waiting to see what he says next and if he gives the name of the “dealership” or he makes an excuse.

 

And this is what I would say to him

 

SVX never made it to market. There is a rumoured engine sharing arrangement with BMW including V8s. But nothing you can "order" today AFAIK.

Perhaps it comes with a bridge?

 

I tried to special order the SVX with the TD6 . . . Nope! Now, we like what we got fine. Don't really need the SVX at this point.

I even got to drive it today . . .
