Default Adding heated seats

Does anyone have any experience adding heated seats to a Disco V HSE? I have found a local CPO vehicle that is reasonably priced (2018) and it has all of the other options I am looking for (TD6, 7 seater, Windsor leather, heated front screen, Vision assist w/360 camera), however it is strangely missing heated seats/steering wheel. I am in the northeast so heated seats are a must, but I’m a bit hesitant adding aftermarket seat heaters.

I had the same issue on my first Discovery (2000) and the seat elements were actually already in the seat - I just needed to retrofit it with new dash buttons to get the seat heaters working. I don’t expect this to still be the case on the Disco V’s, but I am hoping I could add OEM parts (i.e. new dash with heated seat button and add the elements) to add the heated seats. I know it’s a shot in the dark, and I have had no luck finding anything online.

thanks in advance.

Unfortunately very unlikely. You would have to pull apart the seats to add in the heater modules. And the brain is all computerized now so it's not just a switch. You'd have to change the SDD to enable the option through the touchscreen using the dealer type computer. Possible in theory but a lot of work and could cause other electronic gremlins
I would look for one with them included. There should be plenty around - it's a mainstream option
