Android Auto looks dull / washed out
Just pick up our first LR '19, as soon as I plugged my phone we noticed that the Android Auto looks dull and washed out. Comparin to my X5 the colors there are vibrant and crisp and you can see in the photo below the contrast is way off. Tried 3 different Samsung phones and several cords and results are the same. Looked through every settings and nothing makes a difference.
Any suggestions or thoughts? Should I take it to the dealership as this car is still under warranty? Or is this what is expected?
Thanks in advance.

My '17 Android is washed out as well. It's as if the display resolution is not right for the LR screen. I don't recall a way to change the resolution within the phone for the Android Auto App. I just figured out how to update the map for the onboard navigation so I've been enjoying it. I like how it puts the turns up on the driver screen next to the speedometer.

There is a way you can change resolution. You would have to enable the developer setting in AA. I tried playing with that it makes no difference.
IMO it's not a resolution issue, it's more of a color calibration of this particular display. I'm wondering if I order one of those wireless AA/Carplay adapters (Carlinkit), they might have an option to tweak the colors/contrast, that might solve it.

I posted what I did on the last few posts of Navigation Update - Page 2 - Land Rover Forums - Land Rover Enthusiast Forum
I purchased three years (one per year) of map updates for $169.00.
The website I used was InControl Route Planner (here.com)
I couldn't get it to work until I set up the navigation account, username and password, from the vehicle first, then I was able to log in from the laptop.
I have a 2017 with 3g so I bought a mobile hotspot so the vehicle can connect to internet. I put it in one of the third row cubbies with the usb port. I pay T-mobile $10 a month for 2 GB data.
