Anyone driven to White Pocket, AZ in a Disco?
Hi All,
I just purchased a 2018 Discovery HSE Lux on 20" wheels with Michelin Latitude tires. The tires are used but in good shape. I am planning a trip to Arizona soon and would love to visit White Pocket. Apparently the last few miles are on a deep sand road requiring 4WD and high clearance, both of which the Disco have but I don't know if my tires can hack it. Does anyone have any experience in making this drive in a Disco? I would love to hear your thoughts if you have driven this route. Thanks!

Haven't driven that route but did find this brief review from a RR owner for the Michelin Latiude Tour tires. Michelin Latitude Tour HP Review On and Off Road Off Road Range Rover
What's the tread depth on your current tires? If concerned, then buy new tires and use them during your trip. Once you are done the trip, put the old Latitude tires on until they are worn out and then put the 'newer' tires on.

According to this, it looks like a sandy single track. Unless you get into rocks your Michelins should be ok. You'll want to air down to the "light load" tire pressure (check your owners manual for details on that).
I have had my michelins in the sand. I did air down to 20psi front, 25 rear. I set the car in sand mode, turned off DSC, low range, drive, and set the ATPC to like 10 mph. Car was like a tank rolling through the sand. Super strong with no hesitation.
If the trail is legit sand the entire way there and back, I wouldn't hesitate to go. Bring an air compressor and a plug kit. Make sure your spare has air in it. (Caveat, I don't mind off road driving so this track looks easy to me)
