Default Anyone with factory side steps, a question

Can anyone tell me if your factory sidestep brackets are steel or aluminum? I ordered a set of aftermarket steps but the bracket is Aluminum.. it's the OEM style thicker design but it doesn't seem like it would hold up long term & as a jacking point.
