Default Gearbox Oil Charge

At 50K miles I changed my gear box oils yesterday. Front differential has access after removing the front skid plate. I only drained out about 1/2 quart but it took about 3/4 quart to fill it. Fluid came out really clean and amber color. Spec is for about 1/2 quart so maybe LR fills it when new by volume not by fill until it spills.
Rear differential took about 1.5 quarts to spilll as spec’d. Both differentials use Redline 75W90 synthetic. Mine is not the locking rear differential. Locking differentials take a different oil and capacity.
Transfer case fill plug required removal of 3 small bolts holding a small heat shield. Refill took about 1.5 quarts of LR Transfer Case Fluid IYK500010. Of note is you need a pretty small tube to be able to push it far enough into the fill opening or else it will spill out as you fill it. Maybe about a 1/4 inch OD flexible tubing.
You need a 8mm hex type drive (like an allen wrench) and various 3/8 drive ratchet and extensions and some type of pump that will transfer the oil out of the bottles. I used a small hand pump that looks like a large soap bottle dispenser and some flexible tubing.
