Smile LR3/LR4 factory OEM running boards / side steps

I recently bought an LR3 and am selling the running boards because I don't have anyone who could use the added ease of stepping up. Good condition, not new. On one of the boards, one of the six studs that hold the board down onto the mounting brackets is loose -- could spot weld it in place if desired but it's really not needed since the boards mainly stay in place through gravity, and the other studs are fine. On the other board, three of the six studs are sheared, but again the three remaining should be plenty to hold the boards down, or the sheared three ones could be replaced if absolutely desired. Rocker trim panels precut for the mounting brackets are included if desired (you could cut your existing ones per the instructions to the premarked cut lines if preferred). Includes factory installation instructions (I found it to be a straightforward DIY job), most mounting bolts etc, you might need a nut or two from the hardware store. Cost for these new from Land Rover is listed as $1,200. Located in Silver Spring, Maryland / Washington DC area. Hope to sell locally since these are big items. $180.

Can the rubber tread covers be removed and replaced without damage allowing for replacing those snapped off studs? Not good installing the way they are currently as there must be a reason why the manufacture designed them having three arms with six mounting studs.
They salt in the area where this vehicle originally came from? Looking for a set for a friend that "had to have a LR4" on the left coast. THX.....~~=o&o>.....

Yes the rubber tread can be removed by squeezing the tabs visible in the pic, and the tops of the studs are visible behind the rubber. Having six studs seems like standard manufacturer overkill for worst-case scenarios, to me ....
The source vehicle was in Florida and New Jersey, more the latter.
Cheers,
Marcus
