Where are people locating switches for aux lighting and how are you running the wiring?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a roof rack and as I began to think through the lighting situation I wasn't entirely sure where to run the wires and mount the switches.

will have to do the same, what rack are you going with? I am considering Front Runner, I live in California so going to go over to their shop within the next month or so to check them out.
