Anyone have a solution to use an awning with the stock roof rails? I think ideally it would be great to find slotted cross bars, but I have been unsuccessful in my search.

of course, I could add a full rack from Front Runner or some other provide, but I would prefer another solution.

Thoughts?

 

I found a used set of OEM cross bars and then fit Rhino Racks angled down awning brackets to it with a 6.5’ Yakima awning I had. Keeps it from sticking up to much but gives good headroom. I did have to file the inserts down a but to get them into the track.
