Default Can you reboot the infotainment?

We all get the hangs and crashes (I’m currently on 18C with Carplay) I’m sure. But is there a way to be able to reboot the head unit without having to exit the vehicle, lock it and then wait 15 mins?! It’s soooo frustrating when the Bluetooth drops and you can’t reconnect or when the screen freezes etc.

Sure you you must be able to reboot the unit without having to lock the car etc.?!

And i I know I should get the dealer to take it up to 18D too.

To reset the infotainment keep pressing for 1 minute the physical volume button.

No way to reboot, pressing the volume button will not work apart from on the new Pivi Pro. Only way is to stop the car, switch off and lock it, leave it 5 mins and try again.

Good morning sir , I'm a new member to this forum . I'm wondering if you have any info that could help me with my Stereo . I have a 2009 L322 Supercharged with all the bells and whistles . I changed out my inop DVD Changer yesterday with another one and when I turned everything back on all I had was NAV . No sound anywhere , even within the NAV . ????? WTF . Frustrated to say the least . No operation of the CD , AUX , DVD or Radio . The eq adjustments are gone , meaning the adjustment bars are there but there is no up and down illumination within the adjustment bars . I can't switch to the other Audio , Video inputs meaning CD , DVD , Aux , ect . Except Radio but of course no sound anywhere . I'm so bummed out right now .
NAV still works as far as map and getting to a destination but no sound . Everything else is inop in every way . PLEASE HELP !

Does anybody know what could be the cause of this problem ????

Things got a lot better by maybe the 19B release and since then I haven’t noticed any problems and we’re on 20 something (20C?) now and I still don’t have any problems like when I was on 18C which the car had when I picked it up. The updates make a big difference imho, transforming the car from being frustrating to a regular reliable experience.
18C is heading towards 18 months old I think, so I’m surprised the dealer didn’t do any updates at your last annual service?

The change to 20B was the biggest change for me, it cleared up 360 camera issues and the lag with the infotainment system. The move to 20C is a step back. The infotainment is lagging again and the front camera for the 360 view is off. I think the issue is they are being creative and trying to adjust the front camera portion of the 360 view as the steering wheel turns, which is a change from a fixed point forward.

Good to know about the options for rebooting.
