Default Changing service interval mileage?

There is no way I am going the full mileage recommended on oil change service. I do 5k miles between oil changes, but I want the maintenance minder to be adjusted to 5k miles for service also. Anyone know of a way to change it? This is easy on vw products, just a little coding.

I get service reminders when it's time to change the oil, based upon how many DPF regens I've been through. I'm currently averaging about 8500 miles between reminders. But I change every 7500 so it's a moot point - I just ignore and reset.

I haven't heard of anyone being able to change the factory set point.

If you figure it out, share it with us.

Tried using the oem topix cloud scan tool, not able to change it there. Also tried an autel scan tool, same thing with that. Coming from vw tuning side of things, this is usually a few clicks away on the scan tool. Got a buddy with a snap on scan tool, give that a try next

My guess is LR wouldn't want people to be able to change it, although it would seem to make more sense just to prevent changing it to a higher mileage.

I've seen a couple of options in the CCF that seem to indicate this might be possible. I'll look a little later and see if I can find them.

There are a few service-related settings in the CCF. I have no clue what any of this does. Here are my current settings. (2018 TDV6)

T5-161 Service Interval (Km) Msb
0x0000 = undefined / 0x0001 = Service interval = 1km (min interval)

T5-162 Service Interval (Km) Lsb
0x0000 = undefined,

T5-163 Fuel / Time To Service (Msb)
0x000 : Undefined : Adopt LOS / 0x001 : 1 day (min value)

T5-164 Fuel / Time To Service (Lsb)
0x000 : Undefined : Adopt LOS

MultiCAN-592 ServiceIntervalMSB
Undefined 101

MultiCAN-593 ServiceIntervalLSB
Undefined 144

Everybody those days is trying to be expert engineer in mechanics and chemistry.
If you doubt the oil useful life, DONN'T use coffee grinds to predict it.
Spend $35 for lab test.

I agree that the Land Rover-specified service intervals are absurd (the dealer service adviser said that transmission fluid should never be changed). For the past 20+ years I've been managing, scheduling, and tracking all vehicle maintenance, modifications, and upgrades using Automotive Wolf desktop software (The Original Car Care Software. FREE Download. Car Maintenance Software : Vehicle Maintenance Software). A lifetime license is $29.95, or $39.95 for the Pro version. This is a much more versatile and comprehensive (and less risky) option than making changes by onesies and twosies to the vehicle computer.
