Default Discovery V 3rd Row Seats Issue

Hi all.
I have a 21 plate discovery D300 HSE R Dynamic.
My third row electric seats which don't often get used have started not staying up. They come up and rock three times seemingly trying to lock in and then go back down.
No blockages have been found and no error codes or warning lights...
Any clues very welcome.
As I say they don't get used very often so very frustrating when they are needed they don't work.
Thanks.
B

Had the same issue with a 2022 P360. the seat wouldn't lock and after the car tried a couple times would go back down. Started within first year of ownership. Had it repaired at the dealer under warranty after a couple of visits. Turned out to be an issue with the sensor and seat frame that wasn't aligning properly. Dealer tried to calibrate a couple of times which made it better but not totally fixed. Ended up replacing the seat frame (again under warranty). Seemed to have fixed the issue but wouldn't be surprised if it happens again. Have heard / seen others with this same problem.

Sounds expensive to fix out of warranty. 😔

Ha, yeah didn't ask what it would cost out of warranty. Though not sure if a full replacement was needed. Could have just been easier to submit warranty for replacement than try to fix it. Can't imagine these things are that complicated.

Had the third row seats recalibrated which worked while in the workshop. By later in the day tried to use the seats and they were back to not working....the mind boggles!

Had same issue, my solution was replacing the modules under the front driver's seat. There was a water leak on the windshield, went down the a pilar into the footwell, where the modules are. Good luck

I have the same problem with my 2022 p360 also. I had it fix under warranty but the problem came back again but I'm out of warranty now and I not trying to pay out of pocket for it. Quick tip: if you want the seats to stay up or down, just force/hold the seat with your hand in the position you want the seat to stay in after you request the seat to go up or down from the vehicle. The sensor/motor in the seat will sense the pressure thinking something or someone is in or on the seat and it will stay put. For example: When I request the seat to let up, I will just hold it in place when it tries to go back down basically making the motor in the seat think a person is in it so it can stay up or vice versa when you want it to stay down. It's more convenient to use the buttons in the rear of the vehicle instead of the infotainment since you need to be physically there to hold the seat in place.

I did think of that but it's quite a force.you need to force them to stay up and I didn't want to break them anymore than already broken.
