Hi. My mechanic cleaned mine with a fluid ( this worked). He told me if it did not he would send the DPF off to be cleaned. This he said would be a 3 day turn around.
So, I had the D5 Td6 in for service. I'd also been having the CEL on. I found that when I did regen cycles that the CEL only stayed off for a few days. The dealer said the it was throwing two codes, both related to the DPF. They suggested that it was getting "too clogged up" and needed to be replaced to the tune of $4,400. As a kicker, the part is on back order.
The vehicle has 80k miles and no extended warranty, but shouldn't something like this be covered under the emissions warranty or something?
Would love to hear from anyone who's dealt with this or similar.
Thanks
