I purchased my 2018 Discovery TD6 used from a Toyota dealer in Oct 2023 and they offered a 3rd party extended warranty. Having previously called a 3rd party warranty company for a quote (about $7k) I thought it was going to be super pricey for the dealer as well.
however, after some negotiation we settled on a 3 year/36k mile powertrain warranty for $2,000. They were offering a full cover everything option for $3,500 and wish I would have taken that.
the warranty is through Fidelity and is also transferable.

Looks to be a good portal to run quotes for different coverages. I didn't end up buying from them, but they were a good source to compare numbers.

fyi, I received an email from JLR stating the following:
The EGR cooler and valve assembly is covered for 7 years/70,000 miles.
The DPF is covered for 8 years/80,000 miles.
I was under the impression that the warranty for these parts were a lot shorter.

Note: continental warranty will not pay for EGR and or anything emission's related. including DPF filter. nor will any extended warranty company I have checked into.
I paid $4500 for continental warranty. they have denied every claim but one. ( warranty is up in 800 more miles.)

What I found surprising was JLR saying they will cover EGR and DPF 7 & 8 yrs. Does that sound right??
Not because JLR wants to help us out!
I got 160k on my VW tdi.
