Default Fluids Question + Winter Maintenance

Hey all, looking to swap my differential fluids and transfer case on my 2017 D5 TD6 w/ 110,000 miles. I have the factory rear locker and I'm wondering how mandatory the Land Rover fluid is to use for the rear locker fluid swap? Also, any recommendations on easily accessible fluids that I could pickup at Advance Auto or similar local auto parts store that are good alternatives to factory recommendations for the front diff and transfer case? I'm not under any warranties so don't have to worry about voiding anything. Looks like I should be safe purchasing 2 qts of each?

Also, this is my first time having a diesel in the wintertime (located in Kentucky, fairly mild winter)... Would any of you with the TD6 recommend adding anything additional to routine maintenance during the wintertime? Thanks in advance!

It's not mandatory. You'll likely get many aftermarket recommendations here. I've been using Royal Purple in my Land Rover diffs for 20 years.

Im using rein fluids for the t-case and Fuchs for the diffs dont have any recommendations just know that fcp has them and they are matched by LR factory part numbers so going to try them out will post soon about them.
