I'm starting to shop for a 2019/20 Discovery and want to carry a full size spare. If I buy one with the more common, smaller spare, can I simply buy an OEM full size wheel and tire and put it into the spare carrier? Will it fit without modifications?

Yep. There is no difference between vehicles that came with a full size spare and those that didn’t. Drop the smaller spare, switch to the full size and you’re good to go.

 

I swapped to a full size and had no issues.

 

For those that have done it, what is the best place to buy full sized wheel? Links? Preferably not the dealership. I’m about 1.5 hrs away and don’t need to pay dealer tax. Thanks.

 

I bought a wheel off eBay and the tire from TireRack (I was unable to locate a used tire the size I needed). Had a local shop mount the tire to the wheel and I replaced under the car.
