Default GAP IID Tool Use on D5s

Good morning,

I've just bought a 2019 Discovery 5 CPO, should be here in a few days. Very excited! I've used my GAP IID tool on my LR3 and another LR4 with great success. Anyone have input on using it on the new discovery 5s?

Main concerns: Suspension adjustments (did that a number of times on the LR3 and 4), general fault clearing, reset service, check diesel exhaust system (DEF/DPF/SCR, etc). Anyone have a GAP tool with a diesel D5 have any feedback?

One major concern of mine, my D5 does have the activity key installed, but no activity key. I'm looking at purchasing a key and my local dealer said I had to pay for programming. Having programmed keys before with the GAP tool (life saver) I'm hoping to do the same for the D5. Anyone had any experience?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm excited to get the D5 in and getting back out on the trails.

Just got my D5 today and GAP tool will arrive this weekend. Lucky 8 confirmed height adjustment works, but not key support (at least for coding new keys).

I’ve been using mine since September , limited functionality but it can scan and clear faults , I used it to add 30mm lift and am running 275/55 duratracs . It works great albeit with limited functions.

LR Max, any update on how it is working for you? Also, does anyone know where to find the procedures and factory settings for such things as height adjustments? Thanks!

No updates currently. I've already got the GAP tool but I haven't connected it to my VIN yet. I would put this task about 2 weeks out for me to get setup and dive into it.

I did plug in briefly and without having the VIN connected, I was able to check for codes (none!!), see other items such as reset service interval, etc. Its pretty limited coming from the LR3 and LR4. We shall see.
