InControl Remote - Does it require a data plan or monthly fee?
Hello I am interested in purchasing a 2017 Discover HSE with InControl.
Can anyone tell me what's required to use the InControl remote from your smartphone?
I'm specifically interested in the remote climate controls to warm up my car in the winter before I enter the car.
Do you need to purchase a SIM and data plan for the car?
Do you need to pay a monthly fee to Land Rover to use this service? If so what is the monthly charge?
And finally, how is it working on your Discovery? I read on some Range Rover forums that the feature never worked on Range Rovers.

Download the app after dealer signs you up.
no you don't have to purchase SIM data plan
No monthly fee until warranty is up.
Used it once... After that one day I looked down and it said alarm triggered and it will not reset via the app although it is reset on the vehicle. Sucks because at this time JLR is stumped and I have no remote start.
