I have european 2.0 SD4 240HP MY2017 with updated InControl Touch Pro version S20C_20.43.1-618886.

Could you let me know why I cannot use Apple CarPlay?

After Iphone connection I do not get any popup to choose this option.

Like in this video:


My phone is just recognized as USB or Bluetooth media source.

Would be appreciated for your help.

 

Do you have the CarPlay pack installed by the dealer? It is a separate functionality they can add. They charge in some regions for it (for many of us in USA dealers added it at no extra cost)

It also only works on the more modern system - think if you have telematics and the SIM card in the center console and the pro system then it should be compatible.

 

You are probably right. I have proper InControl Touch Pro but without CarPlay package.

I do not have SIM slot in the middle.

Have to get in touch with my local dealer.

Please let me know what you find out. CarPlay used to work for me. Now with the updated software my iPhone 12 isn’t recognized at all. Only Bluetooth connection is available. Driving me nuts.

 

Works fine with my iPhone 12. Are you sure your wire is good? I was using a non Apple cable and it was intermittent. Swapped for the original Apple cable (plugged into the correct port in armrest) and works perfectly
