Just in case....
Anyone runs into the same problem I had....Once in awhile the unit that runs the radio-fan-AC (The display) would go blank or just never boot up. The service mgr. said to stop, turn the engine off, open the door so the system shuts down and wait 5 min then restart it.
I had it scheduled in for the wind noise anyways (which they still didn't find) so after THREE weeks they (and the factory) tracked it down to a voltage regulator. They also replaced the battery. Picking it up tomorrow. Whew I missed it, I am tired of hitting my head getting into the Velar.

I don't like it at all. In fairness I guess the harsh ride is a trade off for the good cornering. The engine is ok and the tranny is mated well....I just don't understand what market they are targeting with this. It is a 2020 too....
I am not that tall, and found myself hitting my head getting in and out if
I wasn't careful .The door openings are small, and you basically are sitting at the same level as most cars...Not for me, glad to have my Disco back.

Well....you would think after 3 weeks of checking they would have gave it a final check before I got it back last Friday mid day....NOPE....I went to use the remote start and it said there was a window open and wouldn't activate the start. So...I went out and opened all the windows and shut them all the way as well as the sunroof. Nope. I guess when your the only dealer within 100 miles you can do shoddy work and get away with it.
I think JLR generally struggles with the complexity of these vehicles. With two prior LR "experiences", we deliberately stuck with an SE just to avoid the extra complexity drama from HSE. I mean it's great they give you a loaner Velar, but honestly it can be a hassle. Even then they never quite get around to fixing all things; my running joke is the "Service Required indicator which has been on there since we drove off the lot.
